The course is maintained to PGA tour levels and is open to the public.

A charter member of the Rochester District Golf Association and founding NY State Seniors Association member, Lake Shore Country Club is also the host for several prestigious golfing events such as the New York State Senior Championship, the USGA Qualifier, the NYSGA State Championship, the Lake Shore Open, the National Long Drive Championship and many corporate and charity golf events such as Honor Flight Rochester.
